Ridge Fencer Captures 100th Win
BASKING RIDGE, NJ – Senior foil fencer and girls team captain, Yasemin Ocak, just joined an elite group of Ridge fencers as she won her 100th bout during the February 4th matchup with Montclair. Ocak started the dual with 97 victories but was able to seal the deal with 3 victories on the night.
Only a small number of high school fencers reach this milestone. Yasemin has had a stellar high school career, as she will be a four-year-letter winner and is a two-time team captain. Her overall career record stands at 102-29.
Ridge (11-1) heads into districts next weekend. They will be looking for more contributions from Ocak to lead them into a deep tournament run.
