Kokenge Captures 100th Fencing Win

February 24, 2025

Junior epee fencer, Reid Kokenge, joined an elite club of Ridge fencers when he notched his 100th dual victory at the NJSIAA fencing quarterfinals on Wednesday, February 24th at Don Bosco High School. Kokenge started the dual with 97 victories but was able to seal the deal by going 3 for 3 on the night.
Only a small number of high school fencers reach this milestone, and achieving this as a junior is a rare feat. Kokenge has been a 3-year starter, won the Individual Epee State Championship as a freshman and junior, and helped his team to State Champion titles in 2023 and 2025. His dual record for the year now stands at 44-2 with a career dual record of 106-8. He’ll have the opportunity to add to this accomplishment when he gears up for his senior season next year.
